Coming Back to the Fire Within

There is something powerful about coming back to the beginning.

Not because we're starting over. But because sometimes we need to remember why we started in the first place.

When I first launched the the Be a Blaze podcast, the heart behind it was simple. I wanted to create a space where we could talk about what it means to come alive again. To remember the fire inside of us. To hear stories, ask better questions, and discover what may have been buried under trauma, exhaustion, disappointment, shame, survival, or simply the demands of life.

Because so many people are walking around tired. Not just physically tired, but soul tired.

They've spent years doing what had to be done. Raising families. Building careers. Surviving pain. Carrying responsibility. Navigating loss. Trying to heal. Trying to change. Trying to figure out who they are beneath all the roles, wounds, patterns, and pressure.

And somewhere along the way, that fire can start to feel dim. But dim does not mean gone. Sometimes it just needs space, truth, healing, and a little oxygen.

This week, I’m bringing us back to the very first episode of the Be a Blaze Podcast.

And it feels especially fitting right now as we step into this new season with the enhanced TDAH! Method.

Because the heart of this work has always been about more than information. Its about learning to think differently, heal differently, and live more fully alive in the body, life, and story you have been given.

In this episode, I share where the name Be a Blaze came from, why it matters so deeply to me, and why I believe there is something uniquely created and designed inside each one of us.

The Fire Inside You Still Matters

I believe every person carries something deeply unique.

A passion. A purpose. A way of loving and of creating. Of leading and of nurturing. A way of seeing. A way of bringing life into the world that no one else can carry exactly like you.

And that doesn't mean everyone is called to build a business, write a book, start a ministry, or do something big and public.

Sometimes your blaze is how you mother. How you father.
Sometimes it is how you create safety in your home.
Sometimes its how you tell the truth after years of silence.
Sometimes it is how you choose to heal instead of repeat what hurt you.

Your blaze is not about performance or proving yourself or becoming impressive. Your blaze is about becoming alive. And for many of us, that starts by noticing where the fire got covered up.

Sometimes the Flame Gets Buried

Life has a way of piling things on top of us.

Pain. Trauma. Responsibility. Disappointment. Body shame. Broken relationships. Old stories. Survival patterns. The constant pressure to keep going even when we are barely connected to ourselves. And when you have lived through hard things, it can be easy to believe that the most alive parts of you are gone.

But I do not believe they are gone. I believe they are often protected. Hidden waiting for safety and healing. Waiting for you to stop rejecting the very parts of yourself that were trying to survive.

That's why this work matters so much to me. Whether we are talking about trauma healing, nervous system work, body connection, health, identity, or learning to love yourself back to wholeness, the invitation is the same.

Come back to yourself.

Not the version of you that was shaped by pain. The version of you that existed before the shame. Before the striving. Before the self-hatred. Before the belief that you had to abandon yourself in order to survive.

Healing Is Part of Living Fully Alive

One of the reasons I am so passionate about TDAH is because health cannot be separated from the way we see ourselves.

For so many years, I believed my body was the problem. I thought if my body changed, then maybe I would finally feel okay. Maybe I would finally feel confident. Maybe I would finally feel lovable. But what I began to realize was that I had hated myself at different sizes. I had judged myself in different seasons. I had carried shame even when the outside looked like it should have been enough.

So what if the real issue was not the size of my body? What if it was the way I saw my body?

What if healing had to begin with learning to love myself to health instead of hating myself into change?

That question changed so much for me. And that is still at the center of this work. We are not here to punish our bodies into transformation. We are here to become connected enough, conscious enough, and honest enough to begin loving ourselves into wholeness.

This Is Why We Keep Coming Back

The beginning matters because it reminds us what this has all been about.

It has never been about perfection. It has never been about having everything figured out. It has never been about pretending healing is clean, easy, or linear.

It has always been about learning how to live awake. To notice what has been dimmed. Heal what has been wounded. Recover what has been buried.

To think differently about ourselves, our bodies, our health, and our lives.

That is why the first episode of Be a Blaze still feels important. Because before the tools, before the structure, before the method, before the modules, before the next step, there is this invitation:

What is still alive in you?

What fire has been waiting for you to notice it again?

What part of you is ready to stop just surviving and begin living more fully awake?

You Were Created to Live Fully Alive

You may be in a season where your fire feels strong. Or maybe it feels like a tiny spark. You may be in a season where you are not sure you have ever known what your blaze is. That is okay.

You don't have to force it or perform it. You don't have to have language for all of it today. You can simply begin by getting curious.

What brings life to me? What have I buried? What have I called impossible? What part of me have I stopped listening to?

What would it look like to love myself back to life?

That is where this work begins. And as we step into this new season, I cannot think of a better place to return than the beginning. Because the invitation is still the same.

Be a blaze.

Live awake.

And let the fire that was placed inside of you begin to burn again.
